Mt. Hood Timberline Elopement
This Mt Hood Timberline Elopement was the perfect balance of adventure and family fun. These two really wanted to include their children and friends in their elopement so I found a spot that had just the right amount of epic views but wasn’t hard to get to with a baby in the arms.
We ended up having to shoot a bit earlier than I wanted to because they were concerned about the smoke but I was still really happy with the way everything turned out even if we didn’t get to hang around for sunset. The family/friends gave it a really fun light hearted vibe which I think shows through the photos quite well. Hard to beat blowing bubbles, champagne and cupcakes for a solid finish to a really simple and fun elopement.
Timberline Trail offers some really great views of the mountain without the expense of paying Timberline Lodge which also has some really nice smaller wedding packages for folks who don’t want to go full on elopement.
Eloping in the alpenglow
I’ve done quite a few elopements up on the mountain and this is by far the best bang for your buck location in terms of views and effort needed to get to it. You can definitely get better views but be prepared for 5-10 miles of hiking. This spot is perfect for folks that want the views but don’t want to make a day out of it. It would be a really rad winter elopement spot before the snow gets too deep as well.
If you’re wanting to elope or have an engagement up on Mt. Hood check out these other locations on/near Mt. Hood like at the base of the mountain in the lush forest…Or over on Mt Adams a short drive away…please get in touch. I know all of the great spots and I’m happy to share the beauty of Oregon with you.
If you want BIG MOUNTAIN VIEWS check out my elopements at Diablo Lake and Artist Point up in the North Cascades.
