Trillium Lake Wedding Shoot

This Trillium Lake Wedding shoot with Bhavik and Disha was such a fun time. I photographed their wedding about a month before in downtown Portland but they wanted some really great portraits outside of the city for their wedding day portraits. A compromise was struck and we decided to do a session at one of my favorite Mt Hood outdoor venues, Trillium Lake. They also brought their dog Comet who I made sure to include in a few photos even though Comet is decidely not photo friendly haha. Trillium Lake Wedding shoots are always a blast. I’ve photographed Trillium Lake proposals, elopements and now a “day after” shoot there. Such a beautiful place to photograph at sunset, or sunrise if you want to beat the crowds and are an early riser.

Sunsets and Mountain Scenery

This was on a Thursday evening and there were still quite a few people we had to shoot around. I always suggest doing a Trillium Lake wedding, elopement or proposal shoot during the week and avoiding it on the weekends because the crowds just get unmanageable at a certain point. There’s not much to say about this shoot other than it was great to hang with these two and their puppy again and I love this location.

Trillium Lake photography tips:

1)Shoot during a weekday

2)Shoot during a weekday

3)Shoot during a weekday…see a theme here? Haha.

There’s some other great lake locations up in Mt. Hood National Forest but none with such a great vista of Mt. Hood in my opinion.

If you’re wanting to elope  or have intimate wedding or engagement up in the Trillium Lake send me a line and get in touch. The Columbia River Gorge and the surrounding areas are hands down one of the prettiest locations in Oregon/Washington. .
