Oregon Wildflower Elopement
Super fun Oregon wildflower elopement. One of the first elopements of the year. So stoked the weather is getting nice and a big portion of people that were planning weddings have downsized and instead are choosing to elope. With backdrops like this one I honestly can’t blame them and I’m looking forward to photographing many more this year.
John and Sarah tidied up all the legalities of marriage last week at the courthouse but still wanted to do a vow reading somewhere with a beautiful backdrop. We came up with a few options and decided to go with the wildflowers since it’s only about two weeks out of the year you can actually see them. I won’t give this location away publicly but if you’d like to know feel free to email me and I’ll try to respond. One clue though is that it is in the Columbia River Gorge.
Wildflowers and Wild Love
This location was pretty much over run with photographers which is wild because it used to be a fairly unknown spots to most folks. It’s gotten really busy in the last few years and even on a Monday night it was pretty packed. We walked farther down the trail away from the car which is where we had originally planned to do the vows. Gotta roll with the punches. On a positive note the entire place was in peak bloom so the secondary location was pretty rad too! John and Sarah are super laid back and just wanted a fun easy going vibe for the elopement. John brought a big joint(he works for Chalice Dispensary so it’s only fitting), Sarah brought some champagne to pop and both enjoyed themselves at sunset surrounded by wildflowers. Just the way it should be.
If you’re wanting to elope or have an engagement in the Columbia River Gorge please get in touch.
