What can I say about this wedding other than it was so refreshing. I’ve been full time for over 3 years now and this wedding just hit me in the feels a bit more than usual. I think I really felt for Sandra who had quite a few folks in her bridal part unable to make it because of the Hurricane in Houston. Luckily her mom was able to make it and that was such a relief. Keli, the groom, his family flew in from Eastern Europe. It was just a giant family reunion and everyone felt so happy and honored to be there. My mom had been dealing with some significant health issues during this time and I think I just really felt an appreciation for not only what I do, but how lucky we all are to have moments like this in life. A simple reunion of friends and family that rarely see each other if at all.

Anyway, this was one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever shot. Not because of venue or details, but the wedding focused on all the important things and details were secondary. As I stated above, half the family was from China and the other half from Slovakia so it was really great they could all get together for this moment. They could have held this wedding under a tent in the backyard and it would have been the exact same for me. Hit right in the feels. Hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I did.
