Franklin Falls Engagement Session

This Franklin Falls Engagement Session was pretty rad by all standards. Firstly, I had never been there. A friend told me about it a few days before. I knew the area we planned on shooting and it was really close so we decided we’d hike out to Franklin Falls at sunset and capture the last moments of light. This area near near North Bend is so beautiful. Originally being an east coaster it still blows me away every time I venture out into the Cascades.  Jennifer and Jeremy walked out with me from the trailhead. None of us had been there before so it was a great little hike out. Luckily we were passed by about 40 people leaving the falls(made me a very happy man). After about a 15 minute hike out we were greeted by a wide open falls and some beautiful soft light from the sun dipping behind the mountains.

Autumn Hikes and Misty Embraces

The location is beautiful but also quite loud(it’s right below a highway bridge). We started at the falls and shot quickly so they didn’t get too wet and then took our time walking back down the trail shooting along the river which is absolutely gorgeous. I wish we had a bit more of a sunset that night, but you can’t control the weather. I’m always really excited to shoot new locations and this place was no slouch. Jeremy and Jennifer are getting married right in downtown Seattle on the waterfront on November.  I’m super stoked to hang with these guys again and super duper stoked to photograph their wedding!

If you’re wanting to elope or have a waterfall engagement  please get in touch. I know all of the great spots and I’m happy to share the beauty of Oregon with you.
