Portland Lifestyle and brand photographer
I shoot mostly weddings but I also am a Portland lifestyle and brand photographer. During the off season I tend to get work that revolves around small businesses or modeling agencies. I gotta be honest, I love it. It’s really a creative refreshment to have the two aspects of the business, the wedding and the lifestyle/brand work. It keeps me fresh and invigorated with ideas. I find a lot of people that shoot the same subjects or material over and over tend to burn out really fast. That’s the great thing about variety, I’m able to chase my passion without ever feeling burnt out or lacking ideas.
This shoot was for The Landmark Project and Hallelu. Hallelu is a women’s boutique based out of Wilmington, NC that has some of the best styles in my humble dude opinion. Let’s just say if I was a female, I’d buy most of my clothes from them. They have a boho/west coast leaning style that I really dig. It’s not something you see a ton of in the south where they’re located. It’s a lot of fun to be able to do the warddrobe aspect of these shoots as well. The Landmark Project is a company based out of Greenville, SC that focuses primarily on outdoor geared clothing. They have an awesome line of t-shirts that focus on state parks and natural areas in North Carolina. They’ve been expanding their clothing line over the last year or so and have been putting out some really great stuff. I was extremely happy to be able to do some work with them. We shot this in a loft studio space that has some amazing natural light as well as a great setup for studio lighting. I really wanted to convey a rustic, warm feel through the tones in the images and I feel we accomplished that.
