Blue Ridge Parkway Couples Anniversary Session

This Blue Ridge Parkway wedding anniversary session is becoming a yearly tradition. My friend Josh and Shelley of Hartman Outdoor Photography are just two really rad people on top of being awesome photographers. I photographed them last year as well as this year for what’s becoming a yearly tradition for their anniversary photos….and I’m completely ok with that. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can post this blog but I had to withhold it for awhile. Reason is, Josh and Shelley completely downsized and got rid of everything they didn’t absolutely need and bought a pop up hard shell camper, the casita, that they’ll be living out of for the foreseeable future. They’re simplifying and making themselves more mobile which will be great for their lives and business I can only assume. If you need an awesome pair of wedding photographers were are just super cool people go hit them up! But first, check out the camper!

Falling Leaves and Open Roads

We started in Brevard, NC at the ever famous and one of my personal favorites Looking Glass Falls. It’s extremely accessible and because of that tends to get really crowded. We were lucky and only had to fight one photographer to get some space which was pretty easy by normal standards. After we finished at the falls we drove about 15 miles up the mountain to connect to the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you haven’t been on the parkway before it is a must do. So much beauty  and the mountains stretch on forever. I’ve been up there at all times of the year and fall is most definitely the best time to go if you get the chance.

Update: Josh and Shelley have been living in their camper for a few months now and absolutely love it. They were actually on the west coast for about a month while I was out there. It really makes me want to sell everything, take my pop-up camper and hit the road.

If you’re wanting to elope or have an engagement please get in touch. I know all of the great spots and I’m happy to share the beauty of Oregon with you.
